We're back home after our trip. I just wanted to drop you a line to say we had a great time on the tour, couldn't have asked for better really. It was a lovely time of year to be there - being at Ubirr on our own was amazing. I found that Alan's knowledge and enthusiasm for the area and in particular the aboriginal culture and art meant we had a far more rewarding experience. There's a big difference between looking at rock-art and looking at it while getting the benefit of such knowledge. Thanks again. I am very pleased to let you know that Helen and I had a wonderful two days at Kakadu, made all the more wonderful due to the professional, friendly and accommodating approach by our guide, Al. Al was very aware that as "mature-aged" clients we needed a little more time and a lot of his patience to get through some of the activities, and he met those requirements graciously and willingly. Al entertained Helen on the second morning whilst I enjoyed a flight over Jim Jim and Twin Falls, which was spectacular. I would like to thank Sacred Earth for the wonderful tour, and I strongly request that you pass on our heartfelt thanks to Al. We recommended Sacred Earth to three lovely people we met at Uluru, so I hope they take advantage of the quality tour we so much enjoyed. We have just returned from our trip around Australia and wanted to send you a note to say how much we enjoyed our 4WD safari with Alan. He was a terrific guide and great company. The whole trip was so well organised and we were made very comfortable - the food was excellent. It was a trip of a lifetime and taught us so much about the indigenous people of Australia as well as enjoying your country with all its wild and wonderful ways and magnificent scenery.You have a very professional and friendly company, thank you so much. The wet season tour you put together for us was simply sensational. The knowledge of Alan (our guide), the personalised attention to the kids, the great food and being able to leave it all to you made the trip worth every cent. The wet season added enormously to the wildlife experience with everything so active and green. We would recommend Sacred Earth Safaris to anybody. PS - my wife says she will never tour again without a private guide and cook :-) I just got home and I wanted to be in touch to
say a huge thanks for such a great trip. I had such a fantastic
time – I was quite blown away by the Kimberley and how incredibly
beautiful and diverse it is. Now I am back at work all I can think
about is how long it will take before I can get myself back up there
to see more! Thanks so much David for everything you did to show
and teach us about the landscape, the art, the plants and animals,
the people and life up there, I learnt such a lot. I really do feel
like I got to pack in the most I possibly could in two weeks as
a result. Thanks also for a lot of laughs! You guys have a great
set up - the organisation behind everything to make things run so
smoothly is really spot on, the camping was the most comfortable
I’ve ever experienced, and the crud was tops. Not having to
cook was an unexpected luxury. Great salads! I wanted to write you personally to thank you for
your great support and to tell you that I think your husband, Dave,
is an extraordinary human being. You guys did a magnificent job
for us and we deeply, deeply appreciate your professionalism and
expertise. The whole trip was a delight because you’re a great
organizer and your husband is a unique and special guy with an amazing
mind and heart and a great sense of humor. I'm sure you get these all the time, but I have
to tell you how extraordinary the trip through the Kimberley was
for me. Ron, David and I had a great time. I loved the hikes. The
landscapes were incredible. Dave was a hoot, of course. Loved your
stories Dave and learned a ton from you. Thanks a million times
over. Just a short note to let you know how much Jean
and I enjoyed our tour with your company. Alan was an excellent
driver, guide and cook and his knowledge of the local flora and
fauna was much appreciated. Your itinerary is excellent and the
service brilliant! Our 13 day Kimberley experience has to be described
as the trip of a lifetime. Each day as we travelled through this
remote region of Australia we sampled the magnificent diverse landscape
of our ancient continent. We were extremely privileged to have had
David as our guide as his expert knowledge gave us a better understanding
of the land and its indigenous people and his clever wit kept us
constantly amused. David also had the knack of arriving at destinations
when no-one else was there, so we could soak up the serenity in
peace. We never felt like “tourists”. Being a small
tour group we were never rushed and were taken to areas impossible
for larger groups to access. The whole tour was packed with fun,
laughter, learning and adventure. What a great trip we had with you into Kakadu!
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and haven't stopped talking about
it. We did and saw so much in those two days and have been particulary
inspired by you, Dave, with your cullinary skills in whipping up
a tossed salad! Thanking you both once again for a great adventure! The Kimberley trip was absolutely fantastic! Breathtaking
scenery, great hiking through the gorges, incredible art sites,
and the most fun camping ever. David, you are a spectacular guide.
You made sure we saw all of the best art, plants and BIRDS, caught
some barra, and had top-notch dinners around the campfire. You shared
so much of your knowledge with us and we learned so much. We could
not decide whether we enjoyed your cooking or your sense of humor
better- both were awesome. We can’t wait to come back and
try one of your SCALES fishing adventures
on the Zara Anne. We loved every moment of our trip, Thank you! I wanted to send you this quick note to tell you
thank you for helping to make our trip through the Kimberley with
David so incredible. Really the experience was magical and although
we only saw a small part of this vast area, we are certain that
we want to come back. David’s knowledge, experience and passion
is what made the trip so interesting – you were right when
you said that we had the best guide around! The transportation and
accommodation were comfortable and the food delicious. The tent
was nice and kept us warm on the few nights when it got chilly and
damp. Danni, Many thanks to yourself and of course David
for putting together a fantastic 5 day adventure. It was a fantastic
introduction to the NT and indeed to camping. Thank you again and
we hope to join you one day for another adventure. Many thanks for a great time, plenty of education
and lots of humor and fun! Just a quick very big thank you for looking after
us so well and giving us such a great holiday. We loved the country,
the Ooh Aah view, the Bungles and great swimming. We really appreciated
all the great lunches and dinners and all the extra places you took
us and things you did for us. It was great fun with nice people
and lots of laughs. Dave, many thanks for being the “leader”
in this most memorable journey. Your expertise in all things camping,
in history, geography, art, geology, astrology, astronomy, Philosophy,
psychology, not to mention cooking and driving etc. You really made
this holiday for us and we very much appreciate everything! Dear Dave, Don’t think I will ever forget
you or your beautiful tours of the aboriginal arts and burial sites.
I have never had so much fun in my life, thank you very much. Dave, it was so nice to get to know you and to
spend time running around the rock formations in search of all that
great rock art. Thanks so much for your enthusiasm and for being
so good to the “three city chicks” ! Thank you David- it will be a tour I will never
forget. An unexpected personalized, pleasurable tour. I
already want to plan another with the whole family.
