Many thanks to our past clients for allowing us to publish their testimonials as well as for the use of their photo's, which appear on this page and throughout the website.
Having read all the testimonials on your website there is little I can add. Everything your clients praised was true. Dave was super organised and was great company with a wide knowledge of the rock art (and with fascinating asides that I have never heard before), and of the flora amd fauna of this magnificent country we live in. The accommodation was excellent, bush bungalows, cabins and cook's cottage very comfortable with good beds and spotlessly clean. Dave was very aware of our capabilities as far as walking but never made us feel embarassed. We enjoyed the Yellow Water Wetland cruise with its wonderful birds (not to mention crocodiles)..better than Africa... and the swims and waterfalls and the beautiful Katherine Gorge and the helicopter view. I think we were very lucky to see the Top End in all its seasons in 5 days...pouring rain, overflowing walks and extreme heat. The food was great. Thankyou Dave
Mike and Dizzy, 5 Day Top End Parks, October 2010
The trip was made much more enjoyable with David and Danielle looking after us at all times. We did not have to worry about food, travelling, directions or even setting up camp ! It was luxury to be able to go swimming at our own pace, decide where we wanted to spend our time and food would always be ready when we finished. The hikes were crammed full of interesting information, which we would not have found ourselves, David had a lot of interesting stories about indigenous culture and a great sense of humour too ! Both guides were excellent with our kids and took real time and effort to include them in everything they did. The food was excellent with proper coffee for breakfast, BBQ steaks and picnic lunches all presented with flair. The kids were very excited about the Bush Bungalows you booked for us and we will all remember the spectacular scenery.
Tan Family, private tour to Kakadu and Litchfield, Oct 2010
We set off on what we thought was a holiday and thanks to Dave and Danielle, it turned out to be an adventure so inspiring that we have returned to our daily lives enriched by the amazing knowledge that Dave shared with us and with the realisation of how beautiful our country is in so many more ways than we ever could have imagined ! Dave had thought of everything and was so generous in his consideration of us all in so many ways- our trip has left us with a thirst for more knowledge and adventure along with the desire to just have another exciting and inspiring holiday someday soon !

If you are looking for a Kimberley holiday of a lifetime, then you should use Sacred Earth Safaris. Dave, our guide, was the most informative, knowledgeable and truly awesome individual. There was nothing he did not know about the terrain and planned the most enviable tour ever. Our camping trip was a dream even though this was the first camping i have ever done. He looked after all my friends- all five of them. It take a rather unique person to cope and entertain 6 female non- campers. It was our best holiday yet, even when comparing it to our Europe Trip. Just unbelievable.......

I cannot thank you enough for the wonderful Top End experience we had with you. We all enjoyed every aspect of it. We loved the camping and we all pitched in and helped. You made it all so easy right from the beginning and your communication was excellent, keeping us informed right up to departure. I really appreciated hat, especially in these days of booking fairly blindly on the internet. I feel that your attention to detail is amazing. You anticipated everything we could possibly need and more. We must thank you for sending Peter to us. Hugh and Hayley were full of how much they learned from him and nothing was too much trouble. He made the trip so enjoyable. Thank you again for making dreams come true.
Philippa Savage and family, 5 Day Top End Parks, May 2009
The trip with Sacred Earth was absolutely fantastic- they are a very professional company run by professional people who know their job. Their guide, Jason, was very nice and very professional sharing with us his very wide knowledge about virtually anything- flora, fauna, aboriginal art and culture, etc. It was a pleasure to listen to him and talk to him at any level. This was my first experience of organized touring and i must say that i was a bit scared i would be disappointed but now i realize that i have made the right choice and that i would not have enjoyed it as much if i had done this trip on my own. I would recommend this trip to anyone interested in getting a very special touch of Northern Australia and Aboriginal art and culture, away from the beaten track.

Hi Danielle, I just wanted to mention briefly that we had a fantastic time. We travel a fair bit and try to do 1 or 2 interesting holidays a year and this holiday has been the best one yet. I appreciate that yourself and Dave put a lot of work in behind the scenes to make things work smoothly. With regards to our guide Dan- i really could not imagine a better guide. He was great with the kids and the boys loved him. He was highly knowledgeable and taught us a lot- he was also a very careful and safe driver which was important to me, especially on some of those roads. It was certainly a very memorable holiday.
Rob Turner and family, Top End private tour, July 2009
Dear Danni, i have done a few tours in Western Australia during the last 5 years and can say that i have now seen how luxury and travelling the Outback can be combined. It was an excellent trip, mostly thanks to Jason, our guide. He was great company, showed us the sights and gave lots of great information. Best parts- the scenery along the way- I very much enjoyed the views- it’s a beautiful country out there. The sights, the swims, walks etc. were excellent but the best part to me was taking in the views and travelling through the Kimberley.
Jos Van Der Meche, 10 day Kimberley 2009
It has been a month since we returned from our Top End Safari- we had an amazing time and we got to see everything we wanted to in the 3 National Parks. The view from Gunlom Falls was really worth the climb and to swim at the top in the beautiful pools was just a real treat. We loved the scenery and Katherine Gorge and the birdlife at Yellow Waters was amazing. So thank you for arranging our tour and making it all so easy to see and do what we did. Once our guide picked us up we did not have to worry about any arrangements because it was all done for us. And i think that was the best part about the trip.
Judith and Tony Vidler, 5 day Top End Parks Safari, June 2009
Just a quick note of thanks for hosting us on a great 5 day camping trip through your NT national parks. I was convinced I had lost weight with the walks, climbing and swimming, but sadly the scales revealed no change. That must be down to your excellent lunches and dinners! Highlights for me included swimming in all the waterfall swimming holes, the Katherine Gorge, and the cruises on the Yellow Waters Billabong and East Alligator River. The ancient Aboriginal rock paintings at Ubirr Rock were fascinating to a history buff like me. Finally, it was such a pleasure being driven in a comfortable Landcruiser rather than bumping along in a troop carrier or other truck! My very best wishes.
Gavin McDonald, 5 day Top End Parks safari, 2008
I just got home and I wanted to be in touch to say a huge thanks for such a great trip. I had such a fantastic time – I was quite blown away by the Kimberley and how incredibly beautiful and diverse it is. Now I am back at work all I can think about is how long it will take before I can get myself back up there to see more! Thanks so much David for everything you did to show and teach us about the landscape, the art, the plants and animals, the people and life up there, I learnt such a lot. I really do feel like I got to pack in the most I possibly could in two weeks as a result. Thanks also for a lot of laughs! You guys have a great set up - the organisation behind everything to make things run so smoothly is really spot on, the camping was the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced, and the crud was tops. Not having to cook was an unexpected luxury. Great salads!
Melissa Clements, Kimberley 2007

We have just got back from our trip up north and wanted to send a big thank you for our wonderful trip to Kakadu. It really was the highlight of our time away. Annette was a fantastic tour guide. She was knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and we really felt like we saw all the highlights of the area.
Hobby Family, 2 day Kakadu safari , 2008
I wanted to write you personally to thank you for your great support and to tell you that I think your husband, Dave, is an extraordinary human being. You guys did a magnificent job for us and we deeply, deeply appreciate your professionalism and expertise. The whole trip was a delight because you’re a great organizer and your husband is a unique and special guy with an amazing mind and heart and a great sense of humor.
Ron Acker (Gallery Sydney East - USA), Kimberley 2007
While Tony and Annette are of course individuals, they both exhibited the rare ability to organize and manage a group of strangers in a new environment without being overbearing or officious. Both guides showed us a good cross-section of the fauna and flora, bush tucker and indigenous people’s culture…..and again this was done with a sensitive approach so that we did not feel we were being lectured the whole time. They were both extremely professional, measured and astute.
Rolf, 10 day Kimberley and 5 day Top End Parks safari, 2008
We're back home after our trip. I just wanted to drop you a line to say we had a great time on the tour, couldn't have asked for better really. It was a lovely time of year to be there - being at Ubirr on our own was amazing. I found that Alan's knowledge and enthusiasm for the area and in particular the aboriginal culture and art meant we had a far more rewarding experience. There's a big difference between looking at rock-art and looking at it while getting the benefit of such knowledge. Thanks again.
Eamonn & Sonia, Kakadu 2008
The Kimberley trip was absolutely fantastic! Breathtaking scenery, great hiking through the gorges, incredible art sites, and the most fun camping ever. David, you are a spectacular guide. You made sure we saw all of the best art, plants and BIRDS, caught some barra, and had top-notch dinners around the campfire. You shared so much of your knowledge with us and we learned so much. We could not decide whether we enjoyed your cooking or your sense of humor better- both were awesome. We loved every moment of our trip, Thank you!

I am very pleased to let you know that Helen and I had a wonderful two days at Kakadu, made all the more wonderful due to the professional, friendly and accommodating approach by our guide, Al. Al was very aware that as "mature-aged" clients we needed a little more time and a lot of his patience to get through some of the activities, and he met those requirements graciously and willingly. Al entertained Helen on the second morning whilst I enjoyed a flight over Jim Jim and Twin Falls, which was spectacular. I would like to thank Sacred Earth for the wonderful tour, and I strongly request that you pass on our heartfelt thanks to Al. We recommended Sacred Earth to three lovely people we met at Uluru, so I hope they take advantage of the quality tour we so much enjoyed.
John & Helen, Kakadu 2008
Just emailing to thank you, David and your 2 excellent and capable tour guides, Tony and Annette for organising such a wonderful safari holiday for us and Anne. We had a wonderful time and are still regaling our family and friends with inspiring tales of the Top End. Both trips were fantastic- we experienced so much, learned such a lot, saw incredible sights and thoroughly enjoyed our outback adventures with Tony and Annette. You run a very professional and friendly outfit and are to be congratulated on all fronts. We loved the mix of sites visited and believe your itineraries offered a great balance in respect to indigenous culture, wildlife, landscape and places of interest. Thanks once again.
Heather and Graham, 10 day Kimberley and 5 day Top End Parks safari, 2008

Garry was an excellent guide, his knowledge of the Northern Territory was amazing. His manner was very pleasant with a sense of fun and he treated us with a great deal of respect. His love of the indigenous people was evident. We enjoyed the food- plenty of variety and with a wide range of extras. We all enjoyed different aspects of the tour and the whole demeanour of our trip was very professional.
Ronis Digby, 2 day Kakadu safari, 2008
I'm sure you get these all the time, but I have
to tell you how extraordinary the trip through the Kimberley was
for me. Ron, David and I had a great time. I loved the hikes. The
landscapes were incredible. Dave was a hoot, of course. Loved your
stories Dave and learned a ton from you. Thanks a million times
over.
Lisa Eaves, Kimberley 2007
Just wanted to say a belated “thank you “for the great trip we had last month. It was a great balance of activities, everything was well organised and Annette was a lovely guide. It was the best family holiday we’ve had.
Christin, 5 day Top End Parks safari, 2008
Just a short note to let you know how much Jean and I enjoyed our tour with your company. Alan was an excellent driver, guide and cook and his knowledge of the local flora and fauna was much appreciated. Your itinerary is excellent and the service brilliant!
Trevor & Jean, Kimberley 2007
We have just returned from our trip around Australia and wanted to send y ou a note to say how much we enjoyed our 4WD safari with Alan. He was a terrific guide and great company. The whole trip was so well organised and we were made very comfortable - the food was excellent. It was a trip of a lifetime and taught us so much about the indigenous people of Australia as well as enjoying your country with all its wild and wonderful ways and magnificent scenery. You have a very professional and friendly company, thank you so much.
Michael & Helen, Kakadu 2007
Our 13 day Kimberley experience has to be described
as the trip of a lifetime. Each day as we travelled through this
remote region of Australia we sampled the magnificent diverse landscape
of our ancient continent. We were extremely privileged to have had
David as our guide as his expert knowledge gave us a better understanding
of the land and its indigenous people and his clever wit kept us
constantly amused. David also had the knack of arriving at destinations
when no-one else was there, so we could soak up the serenity in
peace. We never felt like “tourists”. Being a small
tour group we were never rushed and were taken to areas impossible
for larger groups to access. The whole tour was packed with fun,
laughter, learning and adventure.
Peter & Bev, Kimberley 2007
The wet season tour you put together for us was simply sensational. The knowledge of Alan (our guide), the personalised attention to the kids, the great food and being able to leave it all to you made the trip worth every cent. The wet season added enormously to the wildlife experience with everything so active and green. We would recommend Sacred Earth Safaris to anybody. PS - my wife says she will never tour again without a private guide and cook :-)
Andrew Rallings, Top End, December 2007
I wanted to send you this quick note to tell you thank you for helping to make our trip through the Kimberley with David so incredible. Really the experience was magical and although we only saw a small part of this vast area, we are certain that we want to come back. David’s knowledge, experience and passion is what made the trip so interesting – you were right when you said that we had the best guide around! The transportation and accommodation were comfortable and the food delicious. The tent was nice and kept us warm on the few nights when it got chilly and damp.
Catherine & Sergio, Kimberley 2006
What a great trip we had with
you into Kakadu! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and haven't stopped
talking about it. We did and saw so much in those two days and have
been particulary inspired by you, Dave, with your cullinary skills
in whipping up a tossed salad! Thanking you both once again for
a great adventure!
Jenny & Rod, 2 Day Wet Season Kakadu, December 2006
Danni, Many thanks to yourself and of course David
for putting together a fantastic 5 day adventure. It was a fantastic
introduction to the NT and indeed to camping. Thank you again and
we hope to join you one day for another adventure.
